We are pleased to provide an overview of the Pathway 4 curriculum for Year 6 students. This year, Pathway 4 will offer a well-rounded blend of academic and therapeutic inputs designed to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, while also enhancing their life and social skills.

Pathway 4: A Comprehensive Approach

Pathway 4 integrates academic learning with therapeutic strategies to address SEMH barriers to learning. Our approach aims to provide a balanced education that supports both educational achievement and personal development.

Curriculum Highlights

Academic and Therapeutic Blend: Pathway 4 will include a mix of core academic subjects alongside therapeutic interventions. This combination is designed to help students overcome SEMH challenges and engage more effectively with their learning.

Preparation for Adulthood (PFA): While not a standalone programme, elements of PFA will be incorporated into Pathway 4. This will include practical life skills and vocational experiences that are essential for students' future independence.

Flexibility and Future Transitions

This approach aims to support a smooth transition to secondary education and build a strong foundation for future learning.
